Experian CheetahMail's 2008 Client Summit Garners Record-breaking Attendance

More than 400 of today’s leading marketers assembled in New York City for Experian CheetahMail’s third-annual Client Summit: Tools to Build Relevance - A Blueprint for Email Success

New York, July 16, 2008 – Experian® CheetahMail, a global leading provider of email marketing and customer intelligence technologies, today announced the conclusion of its largest Client Summit to date. The third-annual event, entitled Tools to Build Relevance, A Blueprint for Email Success, was held June 25-27 at the landmark Roosevelt Hotel in New York City and attracted more than 400 marketing leaders representing some of the world’s biggest brands. Attendees participated in engaging presentations and interactive workshops that provided them with the tools essential for building relevant and response-driven permission-based email marketing campaigns.

Keynote speaker Dan Ariely, the best-selling author of Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions, gave the audience a fresh perspective on what drives customer actions. Following this, Lisa Bradner, a senior analyst at Forrester Research led an interactive panel discussion on how brands can build authentic customer relationships by leveraging the power of social media and emerging technologies. The panel, consisting of executives from Bazaarvoice, Experian Hitwise, io global and Wallop, discussed the implications and advantages of ratings and reviews, mobile marketing, online video and social networking as part of the larger marketing mix, in addition to the synergies that lie between these trends and email marketing.

Marketing leaders including Felix Paulick, senior manager of loyalty marketing at Borders; Alexandra Palau, emarketing manager at Carnival Cruise Lines; Rob Ziemak, senior group manager of IEB Digital Marketing for Microsoft Corporation; Laura Christensen, email marketing manager at Oriental Trading Company, and Jason John, vice president of ecommerce at Redcats USA shared email success stories which highlighted the effective tactics and strategies they use to engage their customers. In addition, clients and attendees were given a live demonstration of Experian CheetahMail’s next generation application and had the opportunity to hear details about CheetahMail’s aggressive growth strategies, which include launching CheetahMail Australia later this month.

“As always, the Experian CheetahMail Client Summit was a valuable, engaging and enjoyable experience. I appreciated the broader dialog which included elements of web 2.0 and social media in addition to forward-thinking ideas about email marketing” said Jennifer Clark, marketing analyst for Brooks Brothers. “The event’s focus on peer-to-peer discussions was also educational, as there is so much we have to share and learn from one another in order to build deeper customer connections and loyalty long into the future.”

Also in attendance were representatives from Experian Marketing Services, including Hitwise, Real-time Marketing, Marketing Information Services, QAS, and Consumer Research, home of Simmons. Clients visiting the Experian Marketing Services Zone were provided with valuable information on how they can leverage Experian’s wide array of services and technologies to develop more data-driven and relevant marketing programs.

“The Client Summit is something we look forward to all year. The event gives us the chance to get in front of hundreds of our clients and showcase the many ways they can leverage the channel and utilize our technology and services to engage their customers in a meaningful and more profitable way,” said Matt Seeley, Experian CheetahMail president. “It is incredibly powerful to have so many clients and industry experts under one roof, learning from one another and sharing their successes and challenges.”
