Various groups within Discovery's organisation all had very distinct methods of acquiring and managing subscriber data. The dispersion of customer information across multiple databases made the process of creating email campaigns more difficult for Discovery to manage and more labour-intensive. With CheetahMail's centralised subscription and preference centres, Discovery now manages all online subscriptions through one single source. Data acquired from subscription centres is immediately available for mailing through the CheetahMail system, eliminating the manual data extraction work that was previously required.
